  • What is Thinker Education and what makes it different from other tuition centres?
Thinker Education is a Mathematics specialist centre dedicated to helping students develop a strong foundation, sharpen their problem-solving skills, and cultivate a genuine love for Math. We focus exclusively on Math and offer structured, scaffolded programmes from Primary to Junior College levels. Our small class sizes, thoughtfully curated materials, and exam-smart strategies help students build confidence and excel in school and national exams.
  • What levels and Math programmes do you offer?
We offer Mathematics programmes across the following levels: • Primary 1 to 2 – Arithmetic Mastery • Primary 3 to 6 – Problem-Solving Mastery (PSLE Standard Math) • Secondary 1 to 4 – Topic Mastery (E Math, A Math, IP Math) • Junior College – H2 Math (including IB equivalent)
  • What is the teaching approach used at Thinker Education?
Our approach focuses on conceptual clarity, logical thinking, and mastery through consistent practice. Lessons are scaffolded from foundational understanding to application. Students are taught proper presentation of workings, problem-solving strategies, and exam-smart techniques to help them perform confidently under exam conditions.
  • When does the academic year at Thinker Education begin?
Our academic year begins in November each year. This allows students to get a head start on the following year’s syllabus, prepare early for weighted assessments, and complete the syllabus 1 to 1.5 months before major exams. The remaining time is used for intensive revision and exam preparation.
  • Can my child join a class in the middle of the term or academic year?
Yes. Students are welcome to join anytime during the year. We will assess your child’s level and place them in a suitable class. If needed, catch-up sessions can be arranged to help them adjust.
  • What materials will my child receive as part of the programme?
Students receive curated worksheets and revision papers developed in-house by our curriculum team. Materials are frequently updated to reflect the latest MOE syllabus and examination trends.
  • What are the class sizes and how long is each session?
    We maintain small class sizes to ensure each student gets individualised attention: • P1–P2: up to 6 students – 1h 45min • P3–P4: up to 8 students – 1h 45min • P5–P6 / Secondary: up to 10 students – 1h 45min • Junior College (JC): up to 10 students – 2h
  • Are lessons conducted during public holidays or school holidays?
    • Public Holidays: Lessons are not conducted and will not be charged. Make-up lessons are not arranged. • School Holidays: Lessons continue as usual, unless there is a scheduled centre break. We believe consistency is key for sustained progress.
  • How do I know if my child has attended the lesson?
You will receive an SMS notification when your child signs in at the centre and another when they clock out. This provides peace of mind and transparency regarding your child’s attendance.
  • Can my child attend lessons online if they are unwell or unable to come in person?
Yes. While we encourage onsite attendance for the best learning experience, students may attend lessons online via Microsoft Teams if they are unwell or unable to attend physically. Lesson materials will be shared in advance where possible.
  • What happens if my child misses a class? Can a make-up lesson be arranged?
Yes, we offer several flexible options to support your child’s learning: • 🧩 Make-up lessons – Arranged based on availability and pacing of other classes • 🎥 Lesson recordings – Available on Microsoft Teams for 28 days (or 60 days during major breaks) • 💻 Online attendance – Your child may join the class online or attend another class online, if a suitable match is available 📲 Please WhatsApp us at 9831 9770 or click here in advance to inform us of your child’s absence. 🔔 Note: There are no refunds for missed or unattended make-up lessons.
